Konza Prairie

This is the primary place you can manage this location, Konza Prairie. You can add, resize, and move "georegions" in the map — annotations representing real spaces of interest at the location. Each georegion can hold other information — descriptions and, more importantly in the case of area/regions, floristic quality assessments. You manage georegion details via their own pages, linked to beside the map. The Comments section here and on every georegion's page allows you and your colleagues to discuss issues related to what you're doing there.

Please see the "More Information" section below for detailed instructions and explanations!

Summary Information

Description

The Konza Prairie Biological Station is a project of Kansas State University. It has no connection to the Remnant Prairies Association, other than we are big fans of the work at the Konza. We use it here just to illustrate the GIS-lite features of our web site along with its capabilities for managing FQA studies.

FQA Information

Map

This is a demo location — which means that you can edit georegions, play with FQA data, etc., in order to see how these tools work. None of the data for this location are "real" data with any ecological significance — as contrasted to publicly-accessible locations that are not demo locations and do have real data.
